About the event
Japa is a Sanskrit word which means repeating or remembering a mantra. Ajapa-japa means continuous awareness of the mantra, or of what the mantra represents. The letter A in front of the word japa means without. Therefore, ajapa-japa is the practice of japa without the mental effort normally needed to repeat the mantra.
We'll be working with a mantra honoring Ganesha and his energy which removes obstacles (and places them as a means of redirection) and sends blessings for new beginnings. This energy is playful, joyful and fun!
The words of the Mantra will be provided and pronunciation will be reviewed. No experience necessary.
This meditation and chanting will be held outdoors at my home in Swannanoa, NC on Sunday July 10th from 2-3:30pm. Address will be sent to those who RSVP.
