About the event

I invite you to join me outside at my home in Swannanoa for a Devotional Song Share & Eisteddfod on Sunday September 17th from 2-4pm!

"Eisteddfod" (eh-steth-fod) is a Welsh word meaning "to sit." The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids defines Eisteddfod as "A Bardic festival of the arts, from the Welsh, meaning ‘a session or assembly.’"

Like the Devotional Song Shares in the past, this will be an opportunity to sing together in community and I am opening the invitation to include devotional songs as well as poems, stories, dance, art (that you have previously made, kind of like show and tell!) and basically any kind of devotional and creative endeavors.

This offering offers an experience of deep feeling, connection to the voice and creativity as well as an opportunity to cultivate a sense of joy, devotion and gratitude. Our circle will draw inspiration from Druid tradition and ritual.

You are invited to bring a song/bhajan of praise, gratitude, joy, growth/love from any culture or practice OR a poem, prayer, story, piece of art or a spontaneous act of creativity to share with the group. It may also be nice to have a musical instrument (drum/rattle/guitar, etc.). Medicine songs and rainbow songs are also welcomed! Or you can simply come to listen and receive.

Donations from the heart are welcomed but not required.

Please RSVP here on the website.

Address and additional information will be sent to those who RSVP.
