Ignite your devotion! Come, participate in an old and sacred tradition of tending a flame and praying with Brigid. Collectively, we will speak a prayer litany and light 19 candles with Brigid, Goddess and Saint.

About the event
Join me at my home in Swannanoa on Friday October 30th from 11:30am-1pm. This will be an indoor event.
An eternal fire burned in Ireland reaching back into pre-Christian times. Legend has it that 19 priestesses tended this fire on the hill of Kildare in Ireland to honor the Goddess Brigid and ask for her blessings and protection. When Saint Brigid built her monastery and church in Kildare, she continued the tradition. 19 Brigidine nuns tended this flame, one per night with Brigid herself keeping the fire lit on the 20th night. While this flame was put out briefly by the church (but could it ever really be put out?), it has since been relit and continues to burn brightly.
