Humans have been creating altars for as long as there have been humans. There is something in our blood that inspires us to build sacred spaces. These altars have been places of prayer, offering, meditation, surrender and beauty designed to uplift and connect us to the divine source of love, creativity and devotion. Through this 6- week course we will explore some of the history of altar making, why and how we create sacred spaces, what to do once we have an altar and how to transform our altars with reverence and presence. Prayerful Altar Making, will include emailed information and four live zoom classes. During our live sessions we will learn how to build an altar, practices for our sacred spaces like meditation, chanting and pranayama as well as how to respectfully break down our altars.
