About The Event
Japa is a Sanskrit word which means repeating or remembering a mantra. Ajapa-japa means continuous awareness of the mantra, or of what the mantra represents. The letter A in front of the word japa means without. Ajapa-japa is the practice of japa without the mental effort normally needed to repeat the mantra.
We'll be working with a mantra honoring Durga and her energy of fierce compassion. Durga is both a warrior and a mother goddess. We can tap into her qualities when we need strength, protection and clarity of vision.
This meditation and chanting will be held outdoors at my home in Swannanoa, NC on Saturday 3/30 from 2-4pm. No Experience necessary. Pronunciation will be reviewed.
